Hello,
I'm working on a project and need some help. If you're aware of any articles that discuss financial implications faced by hospitals related to forensic nursing, will you please link them here or send them to me at angela.marie.morris@icloud.com? Specifically, I'm looking for instances when a hospital was fined for failing to collect evidence that could have resulted in a conviction, disposing of evidence, failing to get the patient to a SANE trained provider, or any lawsuit that was initiated because a savvy survivor didn't get the care they deserved. Anything and everything where a forensic nurse or SANE-trained provider could have made a difference (and even in cases when a forensic nurse was involved in the incident that resulted in financial implication, that information can be useful as well). Additionally,"near misses" are helpful, (i.e., the hospital COULD/SHOULD have been named as a party in a lawsuit). I appreciate your help!
Godspeed!
