FREE AFN Webinar - Forensic Nurse Hospitalist
Time & Location
About The Event
Don't miss this opportunity to join your colleagues for this very special FREE AFN Webinar - Forensic Nurse Hospitalist: The Comprehensive Role of the Forensic Nurse in a Hospital Setting, with Kelly Berishaj!
This presentation outlines the role of the “Forensic Nurse Hospitalist” (FNH), a term proposed to describe the nurse qualified by licensure and education as a specialist in forensic nursing who practices specifically in the hospital setting. The FNH Conceptual Model helps to illustrate three pillars of FNH influence - patients, health care providers, and health care systems.
As the specialty of forensic nursing grows and evolves, research, literature, and practice guidelines are needed to support specialty and role expansion. This evidence can be shared with stakeholders as support for the inclusion of comprehensive, forensic nursing services in the acute care setting where large volumes of patients seek care after suffering trauma, violence, or maltreatment.
