Academy of Forensic Nursing member Dr. Rachell Ekroos will join senior nurse leaders from around the globe to participate in the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI) 2023 program.

Ekroos is one of nearly 30 nurse leaders selected to participate as a scholar of this prestigious policy leadership program worldwide. The GNLI scholars will meet and network with high-level world leaders and collaborators who share their passion for improving local, regional, national, and global health policy.

Ekroos joins an elite cohort of nurse leaders from around the world for in-depth explorations of the social determinants of health, the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, health disparaties, and gender equity — including the relevance of each to the work of ICN, WHO, and the WHO Global Strategic Directions for Nursing and Midwifery.

As an integral part of the program, ICN GNLI scholars will meet in Geneva, Switzerland for an intensive, interactive experience with internationally respected facilitators and speakers, a site visit to the WHO headquarters, and meetings with global leaders.
