Save the date in October for a riveting screening and discussion of CDVA’s acclaimed film THE CHILDREN NEXT DOOR This October – Domestic Violence Awareness Month - we’re joining forces with the Childhood Domestic Violence Association (CDVA) to support the 10-year anniversary relaunch and national roll-out of their award-winning documentary, THE CHILDREN NEXT DOOR. It is the only film to focus on the single best predictor of domestic violence - growing up in a home with it - and spotlight its most silent and helpless victims: the children. DomesticShelters.org has partnered with CDVA to provide domestic violence professionals with an exclusive opportunity – that allows you to stream the film complimentary for an entire week. You'll also have priority attendance at the special Q&A event on October 18th. When: Film streaming October 11-18th Special Q&A on October 18th Where: Virtual platform Please register for the Q&A event below, and CDVA email you a link to stream the documentary for free for a limited time. Event 10 years ago, CDVA released THE CHILDREN NEXT DOOR to build awareness and dialogue about Childhood Domestic Violence (CDV) - the least known major adverse childhood experience (ACE) impacting 1 in 7 children (15 million in the US alone). CDV has very little awareness and few resources to curb its massive impact. This highly acclaimed film takes us on a young family’s journey to understand and end a recurring cycle of violence. Until now, it was only available to professional organizations in the field. But with its relaunch, it will be rolled out to all audiences nationwide. Learn more about the film.
