Each year, the AFN Board of Directors recognizes a select few members with distinguished-member designations. These distinguished memberships are:

• Distinguished Member (DM-AFN)

• Distinguished Fellow (DF-AFN)

• Distinguished Fellow Emeritus (DFE-AFN)

The recipients of these awards stand out above the rest by working to advance the mission and science of forensic nursing. Distinguished Members are required to re-apply and be re-awarded the title every two years. Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and decisions are made in December. To apply (or re-apply), be sure to submit your application by October 20, 2023.
