Gang Violence

Does anyone have any good resources re: gang violence? I'm relatively new to the community I serve and according to the local natives, gang violence is huge. My concern is not being educated or familiar with this type of "culture" and how it could could endanger either suspected/disclosed trafficked persons or really any type of victim of violence.
