What happens if I say “Yes, I want to be in this research”? If you decide to participate, please do the following: Complete a confidential online survey about your personal attitudes and perceptions of medication error reporting. You will then complete a brief educational module discussing medication error reporting and patient safety culture. You will then be asked to complete a follow-up survey two weeks later.

Repeat Medical Forensic Examinations Survey for Sexual Assault Complaints
Independent Researchers
Posted: November 18, 2025
We are a team of independent, multidisciplinary researchers conducting a national study on the rising occurrence of repeat medical forensic examinations (MFEs) in sexual assault (SA) cases.
This project aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce the emotional toll on both survivors and providers, and guide trauma-informed policy and system reforms.
We are inviting nurses currently involved in performing MFEs (SANE-A, SANE-P, or equivalent) to complete a one-time survey exploring clinical practices, system structures, and your professional experience with repeat MFE presentations.
Estimated time: ~19 minutes
IRB exempt under 45 CFR 46.104(d)(4)(ii)
Your insight is critical to help us develop ethical, patient-centered policy recommendations that protect both survivors and practitioners.
