Stephanie Payne

Stephanie Payne currently works at University of Colorado Hospital as a forensic nurse examiner, providing care for and performing exams on all patients who have experienced violence. She utilizes her psychiatric service dog, Archibald, in her exams, who is trained to provide pressure therapy and support for survivors. Payne has experience working in EMS before becoming an ER nurse, completing a critical care nurse residency at Vanderbilt. She is currently in graduate school to obtain her women’s health nurse practitioner degree and is dedicated to the innovation of new roles for practitioners within the world of forensics.
