Ariana Miller

Ariana Miller is a BSN-prepared Registered Nurse currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Forensic Nursing. She brings over eight years of nursing experience, including more than five years in the Emergency Department at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Miller is SANE-trained and an active member of the unit’s SANE Committee. She serves as the expert and educator for forensic case evidence collection and preservation for non-SANE patient populations. She recently developed and implemented a new forensic evidence collection and preservation policy for non-SANE patient populations, which is now in use at the UPMC Presbyterian campus. Upon completing her MSN, Miller plans to pursue a career in medicolegal death and crime scene investigation. Outside of work, she enjoys mystery novels, gardening, exploring Pittsburgh’s coffee shops, and spending time with her husband and seven-year-old twin sons.
