LeRoy Marklund served 30.5 years in the U.S. Army prior to entering academia at Texas A&M University as a faculty member for the College of Nursing. His nursing background is critical care, burn care, and emergency nursing. He is married to Happy. They have two Texas A&M University sons, Neil and Lee, who are Aggies and also served proudly in the U.S. Army.
