Savanna Suydam

Savanna Suydam is the Trauma and SANE Coordinator at MacNeal Hospital and a forensic nurse leader with expertise in sexual assault and non-fatal strangulation assessment. She developed and implemented educational programs and clinical toolkits focused on improving the recognition, documentation, and management of non-fatal strangulation injuries across healthcare settings. Suydam has presented on strangulation, forensic nursing, and trauma-informed care to healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and community partners. Her work focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and provider education. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Loyola University Chicago.
