Shannon Scott

Shannon Scott is the forensic nurse examiner program coordinator at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. She began her nursing career in emergency and trauma care and has spent 15 years in forensic nursing. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University and holds certifications as an adult/adolescent and pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner. In 2021, her article “Identifying Human Trafficking Victims in the Pediatric and School Nurse Practice Setting” was published in Pediatric Nursing. Her professional interests include human trafficking, violence prevention, trauma-informed care, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes for victims of violence.
