Valerie Sievers

Valerie Sievers, MSN, RN, CNS, AFN-C, IVSE-C, DF-AFN, is a forensic clinical nurse specialist with more than 40 years of healthcare experience as a registered nurse, advanced practice nurse, educator, and consultant. She has extensive experience in emergency and critical care nursing, academia, and forensic clinical practice. As a clinical nurse specialist, Sievers provides advanced education on the care and treatment of patients affected by interpersonal violence, abuse, and trauma. She is licensed as an advanced practice nurse and clinical nurse specialist and is board-certified as an advanced forensic nurse. Sievers is a founding member of the Academy of Forensic Nursing and the owner of Med Law Consultants LLC, a forensic healthcare consulting practice that provides evidence-based education, program consultation, policy development, peer review, and evaluation of criminal and civil cases.
