
Alexis Clendenin
BSN, RN, CCRN

Alexis Clendenin is the associate manager of the Forensic Nurse Examiner program at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) and Highlands Ranch Hospital (HRH), a comprehensive program treating any individual affected by violence. Clendenin graduated from Denver College of Nursing with her Bachelor of Science degree in 2019. She worked in Neuro-Trauma Acute Care and Neurosurgical Intensive Care settings prior to her transition to forensic nursing. Clendenin is board-certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). Passionate about advancing the field, she also presents forensic nursing education to hospital staff and community partners to strengthen trauma-informed, evidence-based care. She enjoys cooking, painting and enjoying the Colorado mountains with her husband and two children.
