Chaundre White

Chaundre White is the Supervisory Attorney for the University of Chicago Medical-Legal Partnership at Legal Aid Chicago. She oversees a holistic collaboration to provide trauma-informed bedside legal services to survivors of violence in marginalized and underserved communities. Before joining Legal Aid Chicago, White was the Senior Supervising Attorney at the ACLU of Illinois, where she led litigation, policy advocacy, and public education efforts to advance LGBTQ+ rights, gender equity, and bodily autonomy. White is a professor of Legal Writing at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Outside of her legal work, White is active in Chicago’s volunteer and mutual aid networks with a focus on supporting queer communities, youth, and art. One favorite activity is throwing birthday parties for unhoused children on Chicago's north side. White received her undergraduate degree from Augustana College and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
