MSN, APN, FNP-BC, TNS

Jhoanna Gulmatico serves as the System Director for Emergency Departments, EMS, SANE Program, and the Trauma Service at Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) within Sinai Health System in Chicago. With over 23 years of experience in emergency and trauma nursing—and 14 years in healthcare leadership—she has led transformative initiatives across high-volume, high-acuity emergency departments that care for 72,000–80,000 patients annually. A key focus of Gulmatico's work has been advancing survivor-centered care in sexual assault response. In partnership with the System SANE Manager, she led the successful launch and rapid growth of Sinai’s SANE Program across Mount Sinai and Holy Cross Hospitals. In just 2.5 years, the program has served more than 600 survivors and formalized transfer agreements with six community hospitals, creating a broader, more equitable network of forensic care in underserved communities.
