More to come...

Mona Elgindy is a Supervisory Attorney at Legal Aid Chicago in their Medical Legal Partnership Group. She oversees the “Health Forward/Salud Adelante” partnership with Cook County Health System that addresses the health harming legal needs of patients referred from throughout their health system. Elgindy's commitment to serving vulnerable communities has spanned over 13 years in the context of poverty law and health equity. Before joining Legal Aid Chicago, she worked at Prairie State Legal Services where her practice focused on protecting seniors from abuse and financial exploitation, public benefits, housing, consumer law, probate law and preventing nursing home involuntary discharges. Elgindy is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in their Health Justice Project at Loyola University Chicago’s School of Law. This course brings together law, medical, and social work students to teach cross disciplinary strategies to become effective advocates and health justice leaders where poverty, health and the law intersect. When not working, she loves to travel internationally.
