Christina Yannetsos

Christina Yannetsos is a board certified emergency medicine physician and assistant professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She earned her medical degree and attended residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is the Medical Director for UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital’s Forensic Examiner Program that cares for victims of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, assault, and sexual assault. She is also the well-being lead for the Department of Emergency Medicine where she helped support multiple departmental and institutional wellbeing initiatives. She was a National Team USA judo athlete qualifying the -70kg division for the 2004 Olympics. She now volunteers her time as National Team Physician, being appointed Team USA Physician for 2020 Olympics, USA Judo’s Medical Advisory Chair, and National Governing Body Medical Lead for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Her research work has led to policy changes in the national sport of judo. Her work includes health policy, injury prevention, and concussion.
