In an electronic election held November 17–December 1, 2025, the Academy of Forensic Nursing membership confirmed their President-Elect and four members to serve the Board of Directors 2026–2028 term.

Those positions on the Executive Committee are:

Dr. Kimberly Kasper, who was elected by the AFN Board of Directors as interim president-elect in June, will begin a one-year term as president-elect running from January 1 to December 31, 2026. Then, in accordance with AFN bylaws, she will move to the position of president from January 1 to December 31, 2027.

For the 2026–2028 Board of Directors term, the AFN membership re-elected Natalie Calow and added Dr. Victor Petreca and Dr. Andrea Sebastian to open graduate-prepared seats. Rachel Lapp was re-elected to a baccalaureate-prepared seat.

The AFN Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss organization business, educational efforts, volunteer opportunities, and more. Members serve two-year terms.
