UPDATE: New Violence and Behavior Special Interest Group

Academy of Forensic Nursing has established a new special interest group (SIG) focusing on violence and behavior.

The Violence and Behavior SIG is dedicated to expanding the foundational understanding of the brain and behavioral correlates of trauma, including Adverse Childhood Exposures (ACEs) as well as Protective and Compensatory Experiences (PACEs), and how these should consistently be incorporated into all facets of forensic assessment and treatment.

The first meeting for the Violence and Behavior SIG has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 15 from 7–8 pm ET. Co-chairs Paul Thomas Clements and Theresa Fay-Hillier stated the time for the meeting may be adjusted to the “best” meeting time for members based on time zones and preferences.
