Kristin Beers
MSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P

Kristin Beers is a credentialed SANE for Pediatrics, Adolescents, and Adults with over 35 years of nursing experience. Her background spans orthopedics, neurosciences, pediatrics, case management, and utilization review, all of which have prepared her for her true passions: school nursing and serving as a member of the Special Victims Unit in her community. Before becoming a SANE, Beers worked as a medical advocate at a local rape crisis center, collaborating with her regional Sexual Assault Response Team. Drawing from her experience as an advocate, educator, and SANE, Beers creates presentations that explore the intersection of healthcare, forensics, and trauma recovery. She holds leadership roles within nursing special interest groups (SIGs) for the National Association of School Nurses, and AFN School Nurses group. She is a past recipient of the NASN Private, Independent, and Parochial School Nurse Award and Rape Crisis Center Volunteer of the Year.
