MSN, FNP-C, RN, CEN, TCRN, EMT

Arielle Tango is a nurse practitioner in remote Alaska, specializing in emergency medicine, pediatric emergency readiness, and care
coordination for village-based patients. She is board certified as an Emergency Nurse and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse. She
earned her Master’s Degree from Georgetown University in 2020 and her Bachelors in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2014. Tango is also a combat medic with the Army National Guard since 2007. She worked as an emergency department trauma nurse
from 2014 to 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida, where she learned the importance of appropriate evidence collection and preservation, even in non-fatal cases. She started working in remote Alaska in 2022 as a radio traffic and ER provider. Her passion for forensics
developed after attending a DOJ course in manual strangulation and staged crime scenes at the National Advocacy Center in South
Carolina. While there, she noticed the significant gaps in communication and language used between the fields of medicine and criminal justice. This inspired her to seek her Masters of Forensic Science with a specialty in Investigation through National University in order to better understand the criminal justice perspective. Since beginning this new chapter, she has developed a passion for increasing access to justice in remote Alaska and bridging the gaps between medical and criminal justice fields to promote public health and safety across the age span.
