Sarah Woelfel

Sarah J. Woelfel is a Senior Probation Officer with Pinal County Juvenile Court Services and serves as the county’s Minor Victims of

Sex Trafficking (MVST) Specialist. With more than 18 years of experience in juvenile justice, Woelfel has worked extensively with youth involved in the justice system, including vulnerable and high-risk youth impacted by exploitation and trafficking. In her current role, Woelfel provides subject matter expertise, case consultation, staff training, and coordinated response support related to minor victims of sex trafficking. She develops and delivers department-wide training focused on trafficking identification, intervention, and trauma-informed response, while contributing to multidisciplinary initiatives and community partnerships addressing youth exploitation and safety. She is actively involved in local and statewide collaborative efforts, including the Pinal County Juvenile Court MVST Core Group, Missing & Exploited Children Working Group, Missing Children Investigative Workgroup Development Team, and the Pinal County Sexual and Domestic Violence Coalition. She has also participated in trafficking collaboratives, law enforcement intelligence meetings, and specialized initiatives designed to strengthen coordinated responses to vulnerable youth. Woelfel holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University and has completed multiple specialized human trafficking and juvenile justice trainings.
