Brenna Joyce

Brenna Joyce is pediatric forensic nurse at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1999. In her 24 years as a nurse, Joyce has exclusively worked with neonate, pediatric, and adolescent patients. She started her nursing career working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital. Thirteen years later she left the NICU and went over to the PACU at Riley Hospital. It was there that she discovered Center of Hope and what the program entailed. After 5 years of working in the PACU, Joyce had the opportunity to join Center of Hope as a pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner. She has been working for COH for 4.5 years and has been a part of the team as it has grown from an on-call program into a 24/7 in-house forensic nursing program. She is a current member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and the Academy of Forensic Nursing.
