Darcy Eckels

Darcy Eckels is currently practicing as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Eckels has previously practiced as a forensic nurse examiner serving adult patients, gleaning much knowledge from forensic nurse leaders and community partners. Her passion, however, is caring for pediatric patients and families, meeting kids and families where they are at, providing them compassionate, trauma-informed, and family-centered care. She is currently pursuing her masters in nursing education, hoping to bridge her experiences and passion to coordinate educational offerings to improve patient outcomes that are trauma-informed and aligned with current practice guidelines.
