Angelia Trujillo

Dr. Angelia Trujillo is a Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Nursing. With nearly two decades of experience, Trujillo specializes in interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and public health, focusing on women’s health. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a forensic nursing focus from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and holds two master’s degrees: one in Advanced Community Health Nursing from UAA and another as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. Trujillo is the founder of the Alaska Comprehensive Forensic Training Academy and a founding board member of the Academy of Forensic Nursing, reflecting her commitment to advancing forensic nursing education and practice. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys spending time with her three energetic fox terriers, gardening, and relaxing with her knitting projects.
