Deb Wetherelt

Deb Wetherelt has been a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) for over 48 years and has worked in her role as the Idaho SANE/SART* Coordinator through the Idaho State Police over five years. Wetherelt is internationally certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – Adults/Adolescents (SANE-A). As one of the Idaho state coordinators, she is responsible for educating healthcare providers related to sexual assault, providing education to law enforcement partners and other stakeholders concerning forensic nursing and funtioning as a resource for Sexual Assault Response Teams when assistance is needed or requested. Wetherelt plans to retire in November and is excited about spending time with her 14 grandchildren (and soon to be!) 13 great-grandchildren! Until then, she is enjoying time in her yard filled with roses … and feeding the 23 cats that drop by from time to time!
