Jeff Matthews
MDM, BSN, BHS

Jeff Matthews has over 20 years of experience as an Emergency Room, Combat Trauma, and Forensic Nurse, and 40 years in the Military Medical Community. He has deployed to both natural (hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, wildfires) and manmade disasters (active shooter events, bombings), applying skills gained through his Master’s in Disaster Management. His frontline and leadership experiences have shaped a trauma-informed, ethically grounded approach to care and education. Matthews excels in high-pressure environments and is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses through real-world application and evidence-based practice. When he's not teaching or responding to crises, Matthews enjoys hunting and fishing, and spending quiet time in the Alaskan wilderness with his two teenage children
