Max Veltman

Max Veltman is an Associate Professor in the Boise State University Nursing program. He earned his MSN from the University of Texas in 1999 with a focus on Child/Family Nursing. He also completed the UT Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care clinical track at that time. He obtained his PhD in Nursing from the University of New Mexico in 2016. After moving to Boise in 2007, he began a clinical practice working with children involved in the Idaho Child Protection Services program. He is a founding member of the Canyon County (ID) Child Fatality Review Team and continues to serve with them while also working with members of the Idaho State Child Fatality Review Board. Additionally, he has served on the Forensic Nursing’s Certification Board since 2020. He is currently the elected Secretary of the board.
